Alexia Lang was born and raised in Switzerland. She has been in love with cooking since childhood. Since her early years, Alexia has been interested in food. She started her professional career at the age of 23 as a culinary school instructor. She then became a head chef at the prestigious hotel Grand Hotel Herrmann in Lucerne and later worked as a head chef at several other 5 star restaurants. In 2014, she decided to quit her high-flying job and open her own restaurant.

The Restaurant Lang opened its doors in June 2015 and has been a huge success ever since. She serves traditional Swiss cuisine with a modern twist and focuses on seasonality and sustainability. She is also very involved with local charities.

She was born in the beautiful city of Lucerne in the Swiss part of Switzerland, but soon moved to Malawi when her father took a job at the Swiss Development Cooperation in Lilongwe.

Her growing up years were spent in Malawi and she was educated at the International School of Malawi. After finishing her secondary education she decided to travel and worked in different countries before coming to London.She is fluent in English, German and French.
